About Us

David Belchamber

After National Service and university, David started his career on the staff of King's College School, Wimbledon, where he taught Modern Languages for 11 years and then became Bursar for a further 18 years. He also served as a Governor of The Hall School, Hampstead. Outside the independent school environment, he has been a director of two companies (a family estate agency and also a civil engineering firm) and the co-proprietor of a caravan park in West Wales, combining the latter with management consultancy on behalf of MacIntyre Hudson, now haysmacintyre.
In recent years, he has acted as a locum bursar and served as sales manager for two companies offering financial products and services to independent schools.



Helen Belchamber

Helen left Marlborough College in May 2004 after 11 years as Finance Bursar. Prior to that she worked for 15 years in professional accountancy practices in Reading and Windsor focusing particularly on non-incorporated businesses and VAT. She was also the 'handholder' to individuals starting up a business for the first time advising on all aspects of accounts and office administration. She has been secretary, accountant and office manager to architects, surveyors, a thousand acre farm and His Excellency the Ambassador of Italy to Nigeria, as well as bringing up two sons.
